10 Prime Steakhouse at Snowshoe Review

  • by

On Thursday, January 6, 2022, three members of our ski group arrived a day early for our weekend ski trip.  Our plans included celebrating the 29th anniversary of my 29th birthday.  Ha,  29 + 29 = 58 but who’s counting.

In early January, many places in Snowshoe were experiencing staff shortages and were reducing hours with little to no notice.  We usually wander down to the village and grab a bite and a few beers. We tried calling Foxfire and The Junction but no one answered.  It was snowing pretty hard and we did not want to go there and find out they were closed.  We called an audible and dialed up 10 Prime Steakhouse to see if they had any open tables.  Sure enough, they had an open table at 6 PM so we took it.

Upon arrival, we were seated at a table near a window.  Our server, Erica was a very pleasant young lady and took great care of us.  We all enjoyed talking about how hard it was snowing and how good the skiing would be on Friday.

10 Prime is one of two upscale places to dine at Snowshoe.  That said, I opted for a couple of cocktails in lieu of my usual two beers at supper.  The double Titos with cranberry was very good, but 15 bucks a pop, that puts a dent on the Discover Card.   For dinner, I ordered the grilled salmon fillet.  I like my salmon medium-well.  I have been to 10 Prime before so my expectations were high.  As expected, 10 Prime never disappoints, and my salmon was grilled to perfection.

Mark, the GM, graciously stopped by our table to check on us.  I find that to be a very professional thing to do in an upscale dining venue.

Summary 5 stars.  High expectations were met as always

Once we finished our delicious meal and polished off the remnants of our drinks, it was time to head home.  It snowed about 2 inches during the hour + we were there.  It was no fun cleaning the snow off the car as none of us wore gloves.
